Captain America: How "Captain America" Become So Skinny

One of the best movie I seen this year. Meet most of my expectation. This is first of six movie plan by Marvel Studio. Can't wait for another five. In the movie, Steve Rogers as a 90-pound weakling is very realistic. It’s amazing how they managed to make him look small and frail. Apparently, Marvel worked with the same special effects wizards that did similar effects in the Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

The scenes showing Steve attempting (and failing) to enlist in the Army should be familiar to most long-time Marvel fans.

To achieve the effects of the skinny, pre-super-serum Steve Rogers, director Joe Johnston stated that he used two major techniques.

Hipsters: Who Are They?

Hipster is a slang term that first appeared in the 1940s, was revived in the 1990s, and continued to be used in the 2000s and 2010s, to describe young, recently settled urban middle class adults and older teenagers with musical interests mainly in indie rock.

Other interests in media would include independent film, magazines such as Vice and Clash, and websites like Pitchfork Media. In some contexts, hipsters are also called scenesters.

The Most Expensive Fruit: Ruby Romans Grapes

A single bunch of Ruby Romans, the titan of Japanese grapes, on Friday sold for JPY 500,000 or about  USD 6,400 or in more remarkable terms, that means each grape is worth about JPY 20,000 (about USD 260).

The Ruby Roman grape is a variety of table grape invented by the minds of the Japanese people for maximum expense and marketed in Japan. It is red in color and about the size of a ping pong ball. The first Ruby Roman grapes went on sale in August 2008 for JPY 100,000  about USD 910 per 700 gram bunch, or USD 26 per grape. They are said to be the most expensive variety of grapes.

Bersih 2.0 - Cuci-Cuci Services (M) Pte Ltd

It has been 3 weeks after the Bersih 2.0 rally in Kuala Lumpur. Now, after all the dust had settled, let's review back what happen before, on and after that day.

The Bersih 2.0 rally (also called the Walk for Democracy) was a demonstration in Kuala Lumpur held on 9th July 2011 as a follow-up to the 2007 Bersih rally. The rally, organised by the Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih), was supported by Pakatan Rakyat, the coalition of the three largest opposition parties in Malaysia, but was deemed illegal by the government.

Bersih, chaired by former president of the Bar Council Ambiga Sreenevasan, were pushing the Election Commission of Malaysia (EC) to ensure free and fair elections in Malaysia. It demanded that the EC clean up the electoral roll, reform postal voting, use indelible ink, introduce a minimum 21-day campaign period, allow all parties free access to the media, and put an end to electoral fraud.

840 Barrel Paint-ball Gun

V Energy drink decide to built an insane 840-barrel paintball gun as part of their marketing stunt.

Created as a marketing stunt for the V Energy drink, a popular energy drink in New Zealand and Australia, the crew created a 3.1 tonne paint-ball machine that fires 840 paintballs in the blink of an eye.

In the advertisement video, the massive paintillery explodes graffiti onto wall. This machine would certainly make street art a whole lot easier.

CSI: Between Fact And Fiction

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is an American crime drama television series, which premiered on CBS. The show was created by Anthony E. Zuiker and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The network also created another similar spin-offs CSI: Miami and CSI: NY.

Another criticism of the show is the depiction of police procedure, which some consider to be decidedly lacking in realism. For instance, the show's characters not only investigate crime scenes but they also conduct raids, engage in suspect pursuit and arrest, interrogate suspects, and solve cases, which falls under the responsibility of uniformed officers and detectives, not CSI personnel.

Women Loves Men With iPhone

According to a survey involving 1,500 women, men with iPhones are more attractive than those who do not. The study also suggests that women rejects men who owns Palm Pre.

There’s just something about a man who’s good with computers that makes him more trustworthy. If he’s got the cash for an iPhone then he must be very good at his job, too. - Lucy, a 23-year-old primary school teacher from London.

When Bird Become Real Life Angry Bird

Unlike the Angry Bird game when you happily smash the birdie all over the place, the real life condition are not really fun.

BASH (Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard) is a collision between an airborne animal and a man-made vehicle, especially aircraft. The term is also used for bird deaths resulting from collisions with man made structures such as power lines, towers and wind turbines. A bug strike is an impairment of an aircraft or aviator by an airborne insect.

Charles Alleneck's Office

This cool guy is an Animator that worked on flicks like Transformers, IronMan, Hulk etc. He has a large Transformers collection which numbers in the several hundred. Very cool collection and might be the best office in the world.

Charles Alleneck is an animator at Industrial Light & Magic on the 2007 live-action Transformers movie. He has worked on high-profile effects-heavy motion pictures such as Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. He also appeared as himself on an effects documentary on the Revenge of the Sith DVD.

Juan Pablo Sorin - After Two Years

Juan Pablo Sorin, the former Argentina national team captain, was guilty of an embarrassing gaffe as he attempted to juggle a football on live television. Sorin won 76 international caps during his career, which saw him play for Juventus, Lazio, Barcelona and Villarreal and captain his country at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

A talented left back in his day, on the evidence of this piece of ball-juggling "skill" on Argentinian national television this week he has clearly taken a bit of a break since his retirement two years ago. Given that the pass he got from his unidentified studio colleague wasn't exactly inch-perfect, pointing at Sorin and laughing helplessly might be a bit harsh, but we couldn't help really ourselves.

London’s Olympics Medals

2012 Olympics are the heaviest medals that'll ever hang around a summer games athlete's neck yet, at 400grams each. At 85mm in diameter, the medals are the largest too. Only the Vancouver Winter Olympics' medals beat the 2012 prizes in size and weight, weighing double the amount of next year's prizes. The previous record for heavy summer games' medals were from the Barcelona 1992 games, which weighed 231g each.

The medals were designed by British artist David Watkins. Composition of 1.34 per cent gold, with 92.5 per cent of the medal being made from silver, and the rest copper.

Superb Watercolor Painting

Steve Hanks is recognized as one of the best watercolor artists working today. The detail, color and realism of Steve Hanks' paintings are unheard of in this difficult medium. A softly worn patterned quilt, the play of light on the thin veil of surf on sand, or the delicate expression of a child. Steve Hanks captures these patterns of life better than anyone.

Strip Off Brides

Most brides are prepared to go to extreme lengths to make sure everything is perfect for their wedding day. And the three wives-to-be taking part in GMTV's Battle Of The Brides competition are no exception, as they prepare to bare all for the chance to win their dream wedding.

Hundreds of couples who entered the competition were whittled down to nine, then three, who have been forced to compete in a series of challenges in the hope of winning the lavish ceremony. After completing a series of earlier challenges, the three couples got more than they bargained for this morning when GMTV producers asked them to strip down in the centre of London's busy Covent Garden wearing nothing but body paint and a few accessories to protect their modesty.

Tribute To Penang Laksa

No 7 of the World's 50 most delicious foods. I'm not really a fan of Penang Laksa, but to be no 7 in the world is really nice. Laksa is a popular spicy noodle soup from the Peranakan culture, which is a merger of Chinese and Malay elements found in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

Penang Laksa

A bowl of laksa in Malaysia is sold between RM 2.00 until RM 5.00. Extra cost for an additional fish to add more body, the price appears slightly on the high side but it is value for money.

Mobile Stall

There are two basic types of laksa. Curry laksa and asam laksa. Curry laksa is a coconut curry soup with noodles, while asam laksa is a sour fish soup with noodles. Thick rice noodles also known as laksa noodles are most commonly used, although thin rice vermicelli (bee hoon or mee hoon) are also common and some variants use other types

One Calorie Equivalent To One Gram Of TNT

Today I found out that one Calorie is equivalent to one gram of TNT in terms of energy. First of all, lets clarify what is one calorie means. A Calorie is the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of one kilogram of water by one degree Celsius.  One Calorie is also approximately 4.184 kilojoules or about 1.16 watt/hours.

TNT (Trinitrotoluene), is a chemical compound. This yellow-colored solid is sometimes used as a reagent in chemical synthesis, but it is best known as a useful explosive material with convenient handling properties. The explosive yield of TNT is considered to be the standard measure of strength of bombs and other explosives. Unlike a Calorie though, TNT is also an actual thing, namely Trinitrotoluene, which is a yellow colored substance that has some interesting properties for an explosive.

Android History

The android story in graphic from Xcubelabs. Many people may not know it, but Android, Inc. was founded in Palo Alto in October 2003, and in its 8 years of existence, they have managed to amass quite a community. Just like the iOS for the iPhone, the Android operation system is continuously being updated.

Why Google uses the name of the dessert? Internet giant refused to explain. Google spokesman said Randall Saraf to give the names were the result of internal decisions and Google choose to perform a little magic in this.
"...When the new Android platform was released, carried the names of the desserts. Most of the alphabetical order.."
